Backs up what matters
During an outage, a battery with a backup gateway can keep selected circuits — fridge, furnace blower or heat pump air handler, sump pump, internet, lights — running.
Stores solar
Paired with solar, excess daytime production is stored for evening use instead of being exported.
Do you need solar to have a battery?
No. A grid-charged battery can provide backup power and load shifting on its own. Solar can be added later if the battery and inverter are chosen with that in mind.

How long will a home battery power my house?
It depends on battery capacity and which loads are connected. Backing up essential circuits lasts much longer than whole-home backup. We model this during your assessment.
Can a battery run a heat pump?
Some battery systems can support a heat pump, but heat pumps draw significant power in cold weather. It must be evaluated for your specific equipment.
Is a battery worth it without solar?
For many homeowners the value is backup power and rate optimization. Whether it is worth it financially depends on your rates, outage history and incentives available at the time.
