A home battery without solar
Many homeowners start with a battery alone. It charges from the grid, keeps essential loads powered in an outage and can shift usage away from higher-priced periods.
Equipment we install
Selected for your home. Designed to work together. When a standalone battery makes sense
- Outage protection is the main goal
- The roof is shaded, small or due for replacement
- You are on a time-of-use or ultra-low overnight plan
- You want to phase solar in later
Planning for solar later
Choose a battery and inverter that can accept solar later — either through a hybrid inverter (DC-coupled) or by adding a solar inverter later (AC-coupled). This avoids replacing equipment.
